Female fishing crew from Kampong Phluk floating village, Cambodia
Village built on stilts on the Tonle Sap lake. The name means “Harbor of the Tusks”. Probably you will definitely visit this place when in Cambodia, to check out the amazing sunset, get on a rowing boat (5$ per person) to enjoy in the beautiful flooded forest and eat the most expensive instant noodles in Cambodia! This village is currently the biggest tourist trap in the Siem Reap province. You should know that if you are visiting the village in mid-season the rowing boats will take you to explore the village also, but if you are there in the high season then the 30min boat ride is narrowed to 15min and you will just check out the forest where you will not be able to enjoy cause of the many “cold drink” sellers that are beside you all the way to the end of the route. Anyway, it is nice to be seen for just 18$ per person with transportation + 5$ per person for the rowing boat. So traveling with your family? Go to the ATM first.
